Baloch Students Action Committee
A protest was held at University of Turbat against the non-announced ban on students politics, hosting literary events. The Baloch Students Action Committee addressed issues with the university administration, and the two-day protest against unfair treatment of students and faculty at the university has concluded. Students faced obstacles, including the withholding of books and other educational materials. They were harassed and profiled by different tactics, most probably by the disciplinary committee.
However, recently, a professor from the University of Balochistan Dr Manzoor Baloch was prevented from delivering a lecture; this action was referred to as anti-education and against Baloch norms by the Baloch Students Action Committee. These series of events led to successful protests that lasted for two days.During these two days, a successful camp was set up in front of the admin, and two rallies were arranged from faculties. Their demands were finally accepted. Turbat University, in a notification, stated that individuals entering the university gate will be granted permission after passing through SOP checks. The university will allow political and academic events, including those in the hostel. Specific times will be allocated for university students in the hostel.
However, the Baloch Students Action Committee emphasized that if these demands are not implemented, the organization reserves the right to stage protests again. The Baloch Students Action Committee announced the conclusion of its protest after successfully achieving its objectives.
