BSAC BMC unit held a study circle on title “Nationalism” delivered by Ghani Baloch

Baloch students Action Committee BMC unit held a lecture program on 10/11/2019.

Topic:Nationalism.
The topic was delivered by the Ex-vice president of BSAC Ghani Baloch.

He began the lecture with the interpretation of the term Nationalism which has been derived from an English word nation,which means the people having the same ideology.

In additionally, the term nationalism was originated throughout 18th century in Europe.

Furthermore, he uttered that a German scholar has defined the term as, nationalism is an ideology and movement characterized by the promotion of the interests of a particular nation, whereas it further aims to build and maintain a single national identity based on social characteristics such as culture, language,politics and history.

On the other hand, another German philosopher said that a nation is recognized by its geography .

Consequently, he addressed that some people deny that, if there are multiple languages in a nation, so that won’t be considered a nation but it is our misunderstanding. Thus he gave the example of India where 25 languages are spoken.

At last he said ,it is believed that a language is the identification of a nation.
