The Police party raided the book-stall in Gwadar and detained four students along with books. Likewise book fairs campaign by Baloch Students Action Committee which has been continued since the first of january of 2025, a book stall was held in Gwadar where police raided the stall and harassed the students and forcefully detained the organisers of stall along with the books.
If reading books is deemed illegal, a parliamentary bill should be passed to ensure that there is a complete ban on the books in addition to this all colleges and universities must be shut down in this regard.
Gwadar as being called the centre of Balochistan’s development and CPEC, but forbidding books and knowledge not only shameful but a very concern of matter.
In the same city drugs and other social crimes are taken as ordinary however students are subjected to custody in stations for the reason of spreading knowledge in the society, which is an irony and a slap on the face of so called authorities.
Moreover, All such acts are nothing but tools of pushing Baloch students away from education and producing despair among them, but we are resolute to not step back from the struggle of enlightenment. In the end we strictly ask from the said authorities to release all the detained students as soon as possible along with the books taken, in addition we ask them as well to call off the consistent harassment of fellow students.
