Baloch Students Action Committee Turbat Zone has organized a book stall in Buleda.

Buleda, February 17, 2025 To promote the reading culture and intellectual growth, the Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) Turbat Zone organized a book stall in central Buleda Zamuran as part of the ongoing Balochistan Kitab Karwan campaign. The event, which took place during the Sanj Annual Program, drew crowd of students and renewed the enthusiasm for reading and learning.

Dozens of students, teachers, and respected members of Baloch society visited the stall throughout the day, engaging in thoughtful conversations and finding books on education, Baloch history, world history, politics, social issues, and literature. The atmosphere was engaged with curiosity and intellectual excitement, very rare but welcome sight in a region often marginalized in terms of educational resources.

“We were amazed by the response,” said one BSAC organizer. “People didn’t just come to collect books, they stayed, asked questions, and discussed on books, ideas and the importance of Balochistan Kitab Karwan. That’s exactly what our movement is about.”

The Balochistan Kitab Karwan, launched to promote literacy in the most underserved corners of Balochistan, has been expanding very successfully. In Buleda, the event was seen not merely as a book selling event but as a symbolic push for long term intellectual growth which will promote reading culture and engage the youth with knowledge and various ideas.

One of the most impressive moments of the event was a speech delivered by a guest speaker, who urged the youth to embrace knowledge as a form of resistance and revolution. Their words, grounded in personal experience and cultural pride, got the attention of many in the audience.

Local teachers praised the campaign, calling it “a much-needed effort to bring educational awareness to areas where opportunities are rare.” She added that campaign like this have the power to bring lasting change in how nations and society to perceive the value of education.

As the sun set over Buleda, the book stall closed, but students were seen excited with books. For a society often left behind in educational and literacy efforts, the book stalls are seen a powerful act of hope, a reminder that books can still light the way in the darkest corners.
