The Baloch Students Action Committee, Shaal (Quetta) Zone, organised a literary program. The program was comprised of different segments, including speeches, a panel discussion, a documentary, a drama, paper readings, a tableau, a book stall, poetry, and folk dance (Balochi Dochapi). The program was attended by Uzair Baloch, Chairman of the organisation, and central committee members including Sohail Baloch, Nugrah Baloch, and Haani Baloch as honorary guests. A huge crowd of students and people from all walks of life participated in the event.

The program commenced with the Baloch anthem and was followed by a paper on the life and work of Professor Ghamkhwar Hayat. Moreover, a documentary was presented before the participants of the event, featuring the life, struggle, and literary works of Anwar Sahib Khan, focusing on his intellectual struggles for literature. The event was further followed by a panel discussion on literature emphasising the importance of the Balochi and Brahui languages, featuring panelists Nugrah Baloch and Sohail Baloch, and was moderated by Zonal Vice President Hanul Baloch. The event continued with the screening of a documentary on the educational crisis in Balochistan, specifically presenting the hurdles faced by Baloch students in Shaal (Quetta). The educational situation in Balochistan was also a part of the documentary. Furthermore, another paper was read on the significance of student political activism.

Continuing the program, a speech was delivered by Chairman Uzair Baloch. While speaking, he talked about different aspects of Baloch politics, student politics, and the developments in today’s society. He said that today, a wrong perception about Baloch politics is being spread, which is totally divorced from reality. These ideas are mostly planted in places where politics is growing very fast and smoothly. Consequently, we can see that today students are not taking part in political programs; instead, they are increasingly becoming victims of harmful social vices. Therefore, they have adopted a mental luxury and comfort, and are not ready to be part of political programs. It is confirmed that true politics removes social evils from society, so our student community should understand this fact and must be aware that today Baloch society is undergoing a critical period, he said. While concluding, he emphasised that our actions can be either against the well-being of society or in favour of it, so we should be careful about all our actions. Even a small mistake can harm society, so in this respect, all our actions should be structured for the growth and development of society, not for its failure.

Concluding the literary program, a poetry section was held where poets recited their verses, and the event concluded with the folk Balochi Dochapi. Along with these segments, a book stall was also set up as part of the organizational “Balochistan Kitab Karwan.”

In the event, organisers and speakers discussed the life and literary works of Professor martyr Ghamkhawar Hayat. They discussed that he spent all his life serving Baloch literature, including the Brahui and Balochi languages. He is considered a protector and promoter of Baloch literature who fought different battles for Brahui and Balochi literature with his pen. He gave these literatures recognition in the world. His love was not only for literature but also for the whole nation. Therefore, he always highlighted the problems and crises of Baloch society to the world. Discussing literary figures, participants also discussed Anwar Sahib Khan, who was not only a writer or a poet but also served Baloch society on different platforms. He played a key role in promoting language and culture; therefore, he will always be remembered as a national hero. He participated in different political programs to organise the nation as a conscious and ideological nation. Successfully completing each segment, the literary and educational program came to an end.
