A Welcome Party program was held by the BSAC for BMC Students

A Welcome Party event was organised by the Baloch Students Action Committee Bolan Medical College (BMC-Unit) in order to welcome the newly admitted students in the college, in honour of the late Professor Ghamkhawar Hayat. The program was attended by a large number of students along with the guests including the Central Chairman of the BSAC Uzair Baloch, Secretary General Peer Jan Baloch, Information Secretary Fahad Baloch, and Central Committee members Haani Baloch, Rehman Baloch, Sohail Baloch, and Arshid Baloch as guests. The program featured Speeches, Tableau, Drama, Documentaries, Balochi Do-Chaapi, Pashtun Attan, Poetry, a Book-stall, and musical performance.
The program officially commenced with the Baloch Anthem and was formally followed by a welcoming Balochi Do-chaapi. After this, a documentary was presented on the life and literary works of the late Professor Ghamkhawar Hayat and the Baloch intellectual class, followed by a tableau on Balochistan’s education system. Continuing the program, another documentary, showcasing geography of Balochistan including various cities and historical sites, was presented and was followed by another documentary filmed on hostel life. Moreover, the program was further enriched by a drama on college life, which was followed by a cultural component of Baloch culture, “Hal-o-Ehwal.” Continuing the program, another Balochi Do-chaapi was performed, followed by the Pashtun Attan, highlighting the importance of unity between Baloch and Pashtun as part of our bilateral relationship. A segment of poetry was also part of the program, where different students recited their poems, making the program more interesting and engaging.
Continuing the welcome party program, a speech was given by the Chairman of Baloch Students Action Committee, Uzair Baloch. Uzair Baloch said, “While welcoming the newcomers, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the participants in the program and the organisers to organise such educational memorable event. The BSAC has not only been active in the campus for last sixteen years, but has evolved and become a uniting political power of Baloch students. This development is the continuous struggle of Baloch students to achieve such educational space.” He stated that as university-level students, they have to study with enough focus while serving the nation and society with utmost honesty and hard work. He further emphasised the role of the younger generation in changing society for the better, referring to recent reforms brought about by the youth. Uzair Baloch, while speaking, asserted that student bodies, as BSAC, are there to help, assist, and protect fellow students who come from far-flung areas with the highest expectations that the student organisations, along with the Baloch students, will undeniably help, support, and protect them. He said that the young generation must be aware of the ongoing challenges in all areas, including the educational environment, and cope with them accordingly. They have to make themselves able to face the challenges and solve them by their courage and conscience. He further stated “Our goals are about unity and knowledge of Baloch students, to make them united and struggle to create an environment of debate and discussion on educational topics to bring the youth towards knowledge. Concluding his speech, the chairman advised that the Baloch youth must avoid any kind of social evil harmful to society and cultural norms, thereby promoting social harmony and stability for the Baloch nation. He added that they have to respect each other and reject the gender based negative thoughts as the motive of the organisation guides us. Youth is the power, so they must know their role and values in the society. Without knowledge and continuous struggle nothing can be achieved, they must learn from the past and act in the present accordingly.
Continuing the speech segment, Central Information Secretary Fahad Baloch spoke to the audience. While addressing the participants, he said that it is an honour to speak before the newly admitted students of BMC who have come from across Balochistan and are united here at a single centre. It is a privilege for them to share and exchange their views and experiences regarding the ups and downs of their respective regions, he added. Students are the most enthusiastic and courageous part of a society, much like the students of Bolan Medical College who possess knowledge, consciousness, courage, and determination, he emphasised. If anything is lacking among them, it is nothing but a “will,” which can be achieved through self-determination and a collective ability to do things better. If we lose our will, we cannot understand our society; and if we cannot understand our society, we cannot protect it from the social evils that affect the smooth flow of life and society toward betterment and prosperity, he further maintained. Fahad Baloch, concluding his speech, stated that if an enrolled pre-graduate MBBS doctor cannot diagnose the evils of society, they can only be a technician, not a healer— and they must be healers to serve people according to their needs and desires. The audience here are the future doctors of the nation, they must not only learn medicine but learn to serve the people.
In the program, a book stall was organised under the banner of “Balochistan Kitab Karwan,” where many students visited the stall and chose books for themselves. The entire welcome program concluded with a live musical performance by Abdul Khaliq Farhad, attended by Professor Nosheen Qambrani as a guest. Abdul Khaliq Farhad made the program radiant and captivating with his beautiful singing while entertaining the audience. After the musical performance, the program officially came to an end.
